     Hermanus Johannes Barend ten Bruggenkate was born on 12 Jul 1804 in Amsterdam.1,3 Hermanus Johannes Barend was baptized (NH) on 1 Aug 1804 in the Zuiderkerk, in Amsterdam.1 He married Mary Rouse on 25 Jun 1836 in the Saint Mark's Church, in Kennington, London,4,5 (license (Faculty Office, Archdiocese of Canterbury) 31 May 1836, London).6 He died on 17 Dec 1877 in Stockwell, Lambeth, London, (66 Stockwell Park Road)7,8,9, and was buried on 21 Dec 1877 in the Norwood Cemetery.10

Hermanus Johannes Barend ten Bruggenkate was a bankers' clerk.12 He lived at the time of his marriage in the District of St. Mark in Kennington, London.6 He lived in 1878 at the time of his death at 66 Stockwell Park Road in London, Surrey. His sons Frederick Weijdemann and Benjamin Joseph lived at the same address.8
     Hermanus Johannes Barend ten Bruggenkate made a will, that was proved 30 Jan 1878 at the Principal Probate Registry, London. His personal estate was under £6000 lbs. His son Hermanus Albertus probated the will, his sons Frederick Weijdemann and Benjamin Joseph were the executors.8
