     Joseph Rogers was born on 23 Jan 1602/3 in Watford, Northamptonshire, England.1,2 He married Hannah b 1633.3,1 He died between 2 and 15 Jan 1677/78 in Eastham, Massachusetts.1,2 He was buried in the Old Cove Burial Ground at Eastham.

Joseph Rogers and Hannah had eight children, the first six prob. born in Duxbury: Sarah (b. 6 Aug 1633, d. 15 Aug 1633), Joseph (b. 19 Jul 1635, d. Eastham 27 Dec 1660), Thomas (b. 29 Mar 1638), Elizabeth (b. 29 Sep 1639), John (b. 3 Apr 1642), Mary (b. 22 Sep 1744), James (b. Eastham 18 Oct 1748), and Hannah (b. Sandwich or Eastham 8 Aug 1652). However it is not clear that Hannah is actually the mother of the children.2
Joseph Rogers made a will on 2 Jan 1677/78. It mentions his wife Hannah, his sons Thomas, James and John, and his daughters Elizabeth Higgins, wife of Jonathan, and Hannah Rogers, and his grandson Benjamin (or Beriah) Higgins.2 He immigrated with Thomas Rogers on 21 Dec 1620 on the 'Mayflower' to Plymouth Colony3,4 See the website of the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, MA for more information on the Pilgrims.
Joseph Rogers was granted two acres in the 1623 Plymouth Colony land division, as a Mayflower passanger, for himself and his deceased father.3 He was the fifth person in the eleventh company in the 1627 Plymouth Colony cattle division in 1627 at Plymouth Colony3 Joseph Rogers and John Rogers were each assessed the minimum 9s. in the tax rate of 25 Mar 1633.3
     Joseph Rogers and John Rogers, his brother, were on 6 Apr 1640 granted 50 acres of upland each at the North River.3
