     George Moody was born in Sep 1559 in Moulton, Suffolk, England.2 George was baptized on 28 Sep 1560 at Moulton.1 He (1) married Margaret Chenery, daughter of John Chenery and Elizabeth Norwich, on 12 Oct 1581 at Kenneth, Cambridgeshire.1,2,3 He (2) married Christian Knapp on 19 Sep 1604 at Moulton, Suffolk.1,4 He was buried on 23 Aug 1607 at Moulton.1,2

George Moody made a will on 5 Feb 1607.
He gives to his eldest son George his mansionhouse in Moulton, and sixscore acres of arable land, to my son-in-law and executor Thomas Kilbourne a tenement and a meadow. From the profits of some other lands which are leased out, the executor has to pay £200.- to Samuel and John when they reach 24 yrs of age, to my eldest daughter Elizabeth £100.- within 2 yrs of his death, to my daughter Sarah 100 marks when she reaches age 22, and to my daughters Margaret, Anne and Mary 100 marks when they reach age 21. To my wife Christian Moody the bedstead, featherbed, bolster, three pillows, blanket and coverlet which I lie on, standing in my hall chamber, all her own apparel, two chests, a half-dozen table napkins, three pairs of sheets, a little brass pot, a little green chair, and two green stools. To Elizabeth Moody and Frances Kilbourne four of my best silver spoons, equally. To my granddaughter Anne Kilbourne a pot tipped with silver, a silver spoon, and six of my best table napkins. To Eleazar Moodie, an apprentice in Bury [St. Edward] £5.-, to the poor of Gazeley, Kentford, Dalham and Barrow 13s. 4d. each, to the poor of Denham and Moulton 20s. each.2
